Useless Fabric – Mark 2

This is a follow-up to the print-in-place fabric structures I have been exploring. It is still a prototype, and it is not refined in any technical sense, but the structure looks surprisingly cool and has a nice tactile feel. Mark 2 also seems a bit better for multi-colour printing, at least from what I have tested so far.

I am not entirely sure what it could be used for, so feel free to share any ideas in the comments. It does work quite well as a fidget toy, as my middle school students enjoyed playing with it. They really liked the texture and the flexible movement.

I am continuing to explore other fabric structures, and I will keep updating as I go. If you are interested in the other print-in-place fabric pieces, they can be found on my profile.
